Illegal Immigrants

It is a U.S. Constitutional mandate that the U.S. Congress shall secure the borders of the United States. It appears this was never done and never will be. When the Federal Government failed to do its job and made things worse, it became the responsibility of the affected Border States to secure these borders and start programs that reduce the pressure on those who are driven to the U.S. The Border States did nothing but point to the irresponsible Feds ... .and continues to do so. Not our job, they say, and the job goes undone.

In the past few years, citizen groups have begun to step in, to attempt to do what government will not. These citizen groups scare the hell out of everybody, but the people and the drugs just keep on coming. Since no one can stop the illegal traffic, it is way past time to create a uniform policy for these people that were essentially invited here by the government's irresponsible, unlawful behavior.

Because every undocumented immigrant represents government carelessness and dereliction of duty and the lack of domestic security, they should be recorded and rewarded for their effort. In many cases they have risked their lives. Congress has risked nothing. The immigrants deserve recognition for the triumph of will over bureaucracy. They should be an inspiration to us all.

Offer amnesty, a green card and a State driver's license to every one who desires them. Document where they came from, who they are, what skills they have brought with them and why they have come here. Take DNA samples so we can identify them and their offspring so long as they remain in the U.S. They came for a better life and we will see they get one. We can help them with skills training and work options, education, health care, housing and more.

Because they essentially invaded the country, there must be a penalty that will discourage others from doing the same. That penalty is the forfeiture of citizenship for them and any offspring, forever. Unless they return to their homeland, apply for legal admission, and obtain it, based on their record while living in the U.S.

The citizenship provisions of the U.S. Constitution were deficient from the day they were written. They encourage illegal immigrants to have children here because citizenship is a privilege of birth. Citizenship should not be a privilege. It should mean as much to someone born here as it does to legal immigrants who study for naturalization. The tests should be meaningful and difficult to pass.

Citizens need to be knowledgeable in Religious, Common and Constitutional law. This law is the contract we agree to live by. Not to know the terms of the contract generates criminal society and government. That's what we have today and that's what we'll have tomorrow. Citizens have left it all to incompetent professionals. Liberty demands personal vigilance. A lazy free man is a hermit.

Gift citizenship makes political equals of the ignorant and the educated. What is the point of obtaining degrees and being a conscientious citizen, when ignorant fools can outvote you? How can you have a jury of peers when people who know nothing of law are seated on a jury and simply take instruction from some authoritarian, black robed, law priest? When citizenship is a gift it has no meaning but privilege. When citizenship becomes an achievement, it has honest value. Let's fix the many deficiencies in the U.S. Constitution. It won't be easy.

Immigrants are one of the best sources of foreign aid the U.S. has ever had. Poverty stricken immigrants work hard and long for low wages, continue to live simply and send a large part of their pay to the families that did not come with them. This serves as a check on increased immigration. At the same time, their relatively cheap labor helps U.S. industry remain competitive in the global market. All of which means, these immigrants have value and add value to U.S. society. We need to respect and reward that value, not frustrate and block it.

Over the past one hundred years, we have ignored the opportunity to export economic prosperity to our Southern brothers and sisters. We could have invited those of talent and ability to come and learn business, trade and the skills that would raise the standard of living in their homelands. These people would agree after a five year program, to return to their homelands and teach others what they have learned about creating prosperity at the local level. After such a program had been in place for twenty or thirty years, the pressure to cross the border would be substantially relieved. Instead, the welfare of the entire Southern Hemisphere has been largely ignored unless the U.S. government had some pressing strategic interest.

Not only has the U.S. government created the immigration problem, they now insist the Border States and now many others, pay all the associated costs for medical care, criminal behaviors, and the general welfare. This is the way the National Government says to the states and the citizens, you have no more sovereignty. We are the boss of all we see. We tell everyone what they will do and we pick the pockets of every man, woman and child as we see fit. The states and the once sovereign people say Amen.

Let the once sovereign states rebel. Let them forbid the collection of Federal taxes within their borders. Then their citizens will be able to support effective state and local government. We only have Federal tyranny over citizens and states because we pay the tyrants. Since the Federal War against the States in the 1860s, the power and money has increasingly flowed to Washington, D.C. from the people's pockets. It is time to build a dam and stop this bleeding into a bottomless pit that buys nothing but empty promises, from people who refuse to obey the law and do their jobs. It is time for citizens and states to grow a backbone.

How many illegal immigrants enter the united states daily? Also how many illegal immigrants are in the us today. And where do most come from?

NOBODY KNOWS! just like nobody knows how many there are here already. If someone gives you a number, that means that they are standing there counting, but not reporting them.

Illegal immigrants in the US: How many are there?

No matter how the Bush administration and Congress act on illegal immigration in the US, any legislation or executive order is unlikely to answer the question: How many immigrants living in the country today are here illegally?

Depending on the source, the numbers range widely - from about 7 million up to 20 million or more.

Nailing down such figures is impossible. Even settling on a ballpark figure is difficult given the official sources: the US Census, apprehensions along the US-Mexico border, and social service agencies. For one thing, illegal immigrants avoid responding to census questionnaires, states a 2005 report by Bear Stearns Asset Management Inc. in New York

How are illegal immigrants getting free health care? I heard in a lot of debate about illegal immigrants and how they care free services such as health care. I became a U.S citizen two years ago and I've been trying to find cheaper and quality health care, but I couldn't. I researched free health care online, but can't find it. I don't have health insurance, so whenever I visit the doctor, I either pay upfront if it's about $200 or they send me the bills if its way higher. So how are illegal immigrants getting free health care?

First off, illegal aliens are not immigrants. Immigrants follow laws. They get free health care by not paying bills when going to emergency rooms, giving false names and addresses etc... It also cost American taxpayers over $6000.00 per birth for each anchor baby born. That is if there are no complications.

In a recent year in Colorado, the state's emergency Medicaid program paid an estimated $30 million in hospital and physician delivery costs for about 6,000 illegal immigrant mothers - average of $5,000 per baby. Those 6,000 births to illegal aliens represent 40% of the births paid for by Medicaid in Colorado. Those 6,000 babies immediately became U.S. citizens and qualified for full Medicaid services, with a cost yet to be tabulated.

The federal Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA) mandates that U.S. hospitals with emergency-room services must treat anyone who requires care, including illegal aliens. Medical service for Americans in affected communities is being severely damaged as hospitals absorb more than $200 million in unreimbursed costs. Some emergency rooms have shut down because they cannot afford to stay open. Local tax-paying Americans are either denied medical care or have to wait in long lines for service as the illegals flood the facilities. In California, the losses are calculated to be about $79 million, with $74 million in Texas, $31 million in Arizona, and $6 million in New Mexico.

These costs are staggering. The Cochise County, Arizona Health Department spends as much as 30 percent of its annual $9 million budget on illegal aliens. The Copper Queen Hospital in Bisbee, Arizona, has spent $200,000 in uncompensated services out of a net operating budget of $300,000. The University Medical Center in Tucson may lose as much as $10 million and the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, also in Tucson, has lost $1 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2002.
Published 06/01/2010 - CST By Elizabeth Lee Vliet, M.D.

In both Tucson and Dallas where I have practiced medicine, hospitals are struggling under massive costs of uncompensatedmedical services for uninsured people who, by federal law, cannot be turned away for lack of insurance or ability to pay.

How much does this uncompensated care actually cost taxpayers? The incredible answer: no one knows.

We only have ?estimates? of the costs to taxpayers to treat illegal immigrants because hospitals and public health clinics do not ask for proof of citizenship before providing care.

What are consequences to taxpaying citizens?

1. Increased cost and reduced access to trauma care. Tucson has lost all but one Level I Trauma Center to serve all of southern Arizona, in large part due to massive, unsustainable losses from uncompensated care. Auto accidents involving overloaded vans of illegal aliens happen regularly in southern Arizona. Injured are flown by air ambulance to University Medical Center?s Trauma Center and treated with state of the art care?.all at taxpayer expense.

2. A registered nurse involved with the Pima County health system since the 1970?s who must remain anonymous because of her role, said she has never seen any staff member at either El Rio Clinic or Pima County Health Department ask for proof of citizenship before providing free medical services (immunizations, Well Baby checks, food stamps, WIC services, birth control, and even elective abortions). Costs are paid by taxpayers. When funds are depleted, low income American citizens have fewer services and longer waits as a result.

3. This same RN also said: ?I personally know Mexican men who married 16 year old girls, got them pregnant, brought them to Tucson for the baby to become a US citizen. They livein Mexico but come here for their health care. Taxpayers pay for this medical care many ways, at the Public Health Department, and with school nurses who provide care.?

4. Uncompensated medical services for illegal immigrants mean higher premiums for all of us due to cost shifting among all third party payers. To cover the deficits from ?free? medical services they provide, the administration at University Physicians Health System Kino campus is analyzing how much to increase employeehealth insurance premiums as of July 1.

5. Obamacare cuts benefits to American citizens: $500 billion in Medicare cuts and slashing the Medicare Advantage program. Medicare Advantage, chosen by one in five seniors, is the most popular plan for low and moderate income seniors, and covers about half of our Hispanic or African-American elderly. My patients on Medicare have worked and paid into the system over their working careers, yet these cuts mean less healthcare available to them now. We certainly cannot afford to cover those here illegally.

6. Hospitals in Tucson and Dallas also provide uncompensated (?free?) maternity services to pregnant women here illegally. Their babies then become US citizens entitled to all of the services available for low income American families ? food stamps, WIC, immunizations, office visits, medications, etc. This drives up costs to all of us: higher premiums for private insurance companies, and higher taxes for government insurance like Arizona?s Medicaid (AHCCCS).

7. Professional estimates are that over halfof the pregnant women served at Parkland Hospital in Dallas are in this country illegally. With over 16,000 deliveries a year, Parkland is one of the nation?s busiest maternity services with prenatal clinics for low income women to receive free prenatal care, nutrition, medication, birthing classes, child care classes, and free supplies (formula, diapers, bottles, car seats). Taxpayers pay the bills.

Can illegal immigrants attend college and receive a degree? Does any one know the policies for illegal immigrants and college? Are they not allowed to go? Is there a difference between the policies for a public college and a private one?

Admin 12.04.2010. 03:58

By federal law, students need an F-1 Visa if they are not either USA citizens or permanent residents, or refugees. However, some liberal colleges look the other way, and state policy in California is to allow and welcome illegal immigrants to attend public college at largely public expense.

It's not widely known that illegal immigrants under the age of 18-1/2 can in fact go home to their native country and apply for an F-1 visa without penalty for being in the USA illegally. Once in the USA, they can do they usual things to stay permanently and legally ? get married, have anchor babies, etc.

Security near the border of the US and Mexico is serious About it but in Canada / us border, it's not.
And there is no illegal immigrants from Canada. And i think Canada doesn't have cars that carry drugs to the us. But in Mexico there is a lot of drugs in vehicles to the us.

How many illegal immigrants work in the agricultural field? I'm hearing a lot of people complaining about illegal immigrants taking away their jobs, so i would like to know how many illegal immigrants work in the agricultural section.

Admin 26.10.2010. 05:42

It was about 8 to 10 million before the fuss has been made over illegal immigrants. Farmers have tried for years to get U.S. citizens to do the work. After a few days of brutally hard work they usually quit

How does the UK border agency catch illegal immigrants? What does the UK border agency do to catch illegal immigrants.

Also, what is meant when the UK border agency finds an illegal immigrant by intelligence?

I am just curious. I don't plan to ever be an illegal immigrant, since it is wrong and it ruins the British Culture.

Admin 30.05.2012. 22:36

The UKBA - or United Kingdom Border Agency catches Illegal Immigrants in the thousands every year. They usually work under anonymous tip-offs informing them of factories, labor workers etc; however they are legally obligated to to random searches on property which they suspect may be housing more than is legally granted. But 90% of the time, the UKBA operate in places of travel, e.g. Airports, Ports etc, catching Illegal immigrants though false passport and VISA checks.

What do american workers think of illegal immigrants coming from mexico? So, what do the american workers think of illegal immigrants coming in from mexico?
And what does the U.S.A government think about it?
Could someone please explain them two questions?

Thank you very much!

Admin 04.05.2011. 20:15

With the problem of outsourcing, the fact that illegal immigrants are coming to the U.S. in unprecedented numbers only adds insult to injury. Most Americans are already unemployed as it is due to corporations shipping jobs overseas for cheap labor, and because of our weak border control illegals only make it worse. I would say that most Americans are fed up with the whole situation, but the federal government wants to be lenient about it.

How are illegal immigrants who have no car insurance able to drive without a permit to place on their license? plates. We hear about illegal immigrants getting pulled over at traffic stops, but if they do not have car insurance they can not have those decals that are placed on your license plates. So naturally, an illegal immigrant will get pulled over if they do not have one even if they are following traffic rules and not speeding.
@mike, I guess illegals in arizona and alabama are going to have to pay extra attention.
