How to Eliminate Your Acne and HAVE FUN at the Same Time!

By: Kenny Goh Jern Yue

Have you ever wondered why we have acne and even more on how we can get rid of acne? Like a lousy tenant, acne doesn't pay you rent, nor contribute anything beneficial to your life. It does however do the opposite by destroying your skin and worst of all, your self esteem and social life!

Well, before embarking on this simple method to destroy your acne for good, we need to know thy enemy. There are two major causes of acne and the rest are just secondary. Before we can tackle them, we need to understand what they are and how they affect us.

Firstly, acne is caused by imbalanced hormone production. When you were a teenager, your body began to produce a hormone known as androgens, which activates and stimulates the oil glands in your skin, thus increasing oil and sebum production.

Logically, with the limited size of each pore and the constant influx of sebum, your pores get clogged and you may notice the presence of blackheads and pimples. As that spreads across the skin, it becomes known as acne vulgaris.

Stress in this case acts more like a catalyst rather than a cause. But do not underestimate the damages of stress. It can potentially worsen the acne a person has.

Our secret weapon in eliminating acne lies in the sea water. The sea water is formed with a balance of the salts in minerals such as sodium, magnesium, potassium, calcium chloride and bromides. These forms of minerals are vital in their respective ways for acne treatment.

Magnesium reduces stress and water retention, hampering aging and soothes the nervous system. Calcium prevents water retention while increasing circulation.

Potassium balances skin moisture level and replenishes minerals lost in vigorous activities. Bromides ease muscle stiffness and tensions, thus eliminating stress, which is a major contributing factor to acne. Finally, sodium is a booster for immune system function. All these act as a natural defense for your body against any acne breakouts.

So how can we apply the power of sea water and exercise to your acne condition, the answer is simple. Just head down to the nearest beach and have a swim! The only thing you need to be careful of is sunburn. Therefore, only go on early mornings: 9am-11am or evenings at 5:30pm to 6:30pm.

You may begin to notice the effects of this treatment after your FIRST SWIM! And you will be amazed on how smooth your skin has become. The more vigorous your swim and the more you sweat, the more your skin will be cleansed. This is a double action cleansing as your sweat pushes the impurities off your skin, which by the way is no longer clogged after the sea water washes away the debris! Additionally, the minerals in the seawater penetrate the pores to do some deep skin cleansing, all while you're having fun swimming!

What to do after picking blackheads on face? Now I know its one of the worst things to do is to pick at the skin on your face but sometimes I just cant help myself, its the open pores/blackheads that bother me and I just want them to go away and even though I know picking will not help any and will make it worse sometimes it happens. What im wondering is what is the best thing to do after this has happened? Is cleansing alone ok or should I put on some sort of cream, e.g. sudocrem/germoline/savlon etc. Thanks

kitty p

Most of us do the same thing. Sure in a perfect world you wouldn't pick at them, but in reality going to school/work with a big zit isn't fun.

Make sure to wash your hands before picking at the blackheads/whiteheads and try to use a piece of paper when possible. If the acne is deep, do not pick at it because it will leave scars. Afterwards, use a cleanser and then a cream if you have one prescribed. Or see below.

I have been to dermatologists for years and nothing helped me, but I recently discovered something that really works. I cleanse my face in the morning (when I don't take a shower), I cleanse my face after I get back from school, and then at night I apply Epsom Salt and Oil of Oregano to the face.

Epsom salt can be bought at any pharmacy and the oil oregano can be ordered at Amazon (buy the p73 oil - its the strongest). To apply do the following:

1. Wash your face
2. Take a small bowl or cup and fill it about a 1/4 to 1/2 cup of epsom salt. Then cover it with warm water. Mix it.
3. Rub the Epsom salt onto your face/neck - it will remove dead skin sells and make your skin smooth. Do not rinse, leave the Epsom salt on your face for 30 min to 45 min. It might burn and feel like it's drying your skin, but try to wait it out. After 30 min or so rinse it off. Your skin will feel smooth and hydrated.
4. Take the Oil of Oregano and put 1-2 drops on your finger and apply it to your acne. Repeat across the face. It will burn like crazy, feel warm, and turn red. But do not rinse, leave it on. In the morning all redness will be gone, the acne will be reduced, and your skin will look much better and start to clear.

Oil of Oregano works so well because it is known as "nature's antibiotic". So unlike lets say Benzoyl Peroxide which tries to eliminate the acne by "drying the acne to death" so to speak, Oil of Oregano fights the bacteria in your skin (that's why you feel the heat after applying it). Oil of Oregano wont dry your skin, in fact it is used to heal dry skin. Oil of Oregano can also be purchased in form of pills which can be taken 2-3 times a day (will fight your acne from the inside) or you can put 2 drops in a water bottle although it doesn't taste great and is hard to get down.

Creams + Prescription drugs did very little for my moderate-sever acne for years. The last two weeks I have been using Epsom salt + Oil of Oregano and my Acne is now almost completely cleared.

Here are natural recipes for basic skin care preparations that every one needs for their skin. The only thing that's missing is a good sunscreen and the toner step is optional. More and more often deep water tonics are being used instead of astringents or toners.

A cleanser:

Lavender is the most popular anti-bacterial herb, and should be included in your homemade anti-bacterial skin cleanser. Rosemary has astringent properties, and should also be included. Patchouli helps regenerate skin cells, and has antiseptic, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial properties. Eucalyptus is also an anti-bacterial herb.Tea tree is noted for relieving skin irritation and skin problems. Sadalwood is also an antiseptic and astringent herb. Finally, Bergamont and Clove are also both antiseptic herbs.

Do not use all of the herbs listed here together. That may make your homemade anti-bacterial skin cleanser too strong and irritate your skin. Instead, choose the herbs that you wish to use, then follow the directions below to make your own homemade anti-bacterial skin cleanser.

You can easily make a homemade anti-bacterial skin cleansing cream by mixing one ounce of bees wax, 1 1/2 tablespoons of water, and 1/2 cup of sweet almond oil or sunflower oil. Using a double boiler, combine the was and the oil, and heat over boiling water until the wax is melted. Heat the water separately - in a microwave - then add it to the mixture, stirring continually. Continue stirring as the mixture cools, then add 20 - 30 drops of essential oil of the herbs that you choose. You can also put in ground herbs. A teaspoon should do it, but make sure that the herbs are ground up as finely as possible.

You can also make soap to use as a homemade anti-bacterial skin cleanser. Start with a bar of Ivory soap, as it doesn't contain any impurities. Using a common kitchen grater - such as that which you would use to grate cheese - grate the bar of soap, and melt it in a pan over heat. Add 20 - 30 drops of essential oil of your chosen herbs, or a teaspoon of finely ground herbs. Pour the soap mixture into a bowl or a small metal or glass dish and allow it to dry.

Making your own homemade anti-bacterial skin cleanser is not only economical and safe, but you may even find that it is quite fun!

Chamomile Astringent

* 1/2 cup chopped fresh mint (or 2 tbsp dried)
* 2 tbsp dried chamomile flowers, crushed
* 4 cups water

Combine ingredients in a small saucepan. Boil for 10 minutes, then remove from heat and allow to steep for 5 minutes. Strain liquid into a jar, cover and refrigerate. Will keep 2 weeks refrigerated. Apply with cotton balls to skin. Especially good for very oily skin.

Acne masks:
Homemade Acne Masks

How can you get clear skin using natural remedies from home?

We recommend:
Acne No More
This program contains all the information you'll ever need to help you eliminate acne permanently without creams and without using drugs and without any side effects.

Baking Soda Mask to Fight Acne
This is so easy to make and can work wonders if your skin likes it. (Remember, not every cause of acne is the same, so you need to try different remedies and masks until you find the ones that work for you.)

All you need are two ingredients. Baking Soda (NOT baking powder) and water.

Mix a little together in your hands after washing your face with a mild cleanser and apply gently to your skin. Once you've coated your face with the baking soda and water mix, let it sit while you do other things around the house, or relax and read a book.

Rinse the baking soda film off your face and feel how soft and clear it feels. If your skin enjoys this recipe, and your acne improves, then you may try it several times a week to help clear your acne.

Egg White Mask

This is simple and quite frugal. There have been many instances of people reporting excellent results from trying it.

What is it? Egg white. Simple egg white.

All you need to do is separate the yolk from the egg whites. Then whip the egg whites until it is nice and frothy. Apply it to your clean face (using clean hands). Leave on for approximately 20 minutes and wash off with warm water.

The result? Tightening of the skin, clearing of red spots.

Possible side effects? If you?re allergic to eggs, of course, avoid this one.

Egg Yolk Mask

Egg Yolks contain Vitamin A which is good for scarring. To attempt this method of acne treatment, whip up an egg yolk, apply it to your skin for 20 minutes. Wash off.

There is some discussion as to whether or not you can catch salmonella from putting egg yolk on your skin. Do a little research before trying this one.

Acne Tonic with Basil
2 to 3 teaspoons dried basil leaves
1 C. boiling water
Steep basil leaves in water for 10 to 20 minutes. Cool, then apply to face with a white cotton ball.
Blackhead Remover Mask
1/2 cup fuller's earth
1 tsp. tincture of benzoin
distilled witch hazel

Combine all ingredients and stir thoroughly. Apply the mask to your skin. Let mask dry and harden - about 30-40 minutes. Soak a small hand towel in warm water and lay it across your face.

When the mask starts to soften up, gently rub it with the towel in a circular motion. Rinse with plenty of warm water.

Sea Salt or Table Salt Mask

Swim in the ocean (or buy sea salt and make a mask). Or just gently wash with salt & water mixed.

Oatmeal Mask

Another kitchen remedy. Blend some oatmeal with water and gently spread it onto your skin. Leave it until it dries (10-15 minutes). This mask is gentle and safe.

We hope these acne masks will help clear your skin. Whether you have regular acne or acne rosacea, these homemade acne masks can help your skin look and feel better.

A moisturizer:

2 tsp hazelnut oil
1 tsp jojoba oil
1/4 tsp carrot seed oil
6 drops Rosemary essential oil
2 drops Geranium essential oil
2 drops Basil essential oil
2 drops Cypress essential oil

In a one-ounce amber glass bottle, add the vegetable and seed oils. Add the essential oils and mix well by shaking the bottle. Label. Use twice daily after cleaning the face and use a facial mist just prior to applying. Use 4 to 6 drops and apply to neck and face. Avoid the eye area.

I'm bored with life please help? I'm living the same day every day
having acne
being single
being neglected by my so called friends
failing school
never doing ANYTHING on the weekends
I'm not having fun anymore
and I feel like it's not possible anymore
what to do?

MAClovin

Admin 07.12.2009. 02:08

lol having acne is on the top of your list ?? lol
Don't worry it'll go away. I have it too. You shouldn't let it ruin your life. Letting it do so is something wrong right there.
I'm single too. Have been my whole life D;
Oh my. We have many similarities. I'm neglected by my "best friend" . . .
I'm failing school too
I don't do anything on weekends either
I rarely have fun.

You need to start fresh...Get rid of those "friends". It's better to be alone or find new friends than being with those people who make your life worse. Your wasting your time, your youth... or rather they're wasting your time.
Study for school. Review your notes every day when you get home from school and really try to understand something if you don't get it. If you give it long enough time, it'll hit you sooner or later. But if it doesn't, you can always ask your teacher.
Focus your weekends on studying since you're failing. Also, once in a while treat yourself to a movie, ice-cream..etc
Don't let facts like you have acne and you're single push you over. They can be good things too. For example, people you won't be friends with you just because you have acne/etc, are not good friends so those people are eliminated. Also, being single allows you to do what you want. You will get a boyfriend/girlfriend someday but enjoy your freedom. I'm not saying having a bf or gf is suffocating, but you get to do less.

i need help with acne. i have a few questions.? i have some acne and i was thinking about changing my diet and the way I wash my face. I was thinking about drinking lots of water, and natural sweetened juices. And no soda?s and no saturated fats. Our school sells subway and I was going to buy that everyday instead of eating pizza or chicken strips and drink water. I was also going to wash my face morning and night with a bar of soap( what kind of soap should I use?) also, I was going to moisturize and (wat else should I do? Tone?) and should I moisturize only in the mourning. Or both at night and morning? If there is anything else that would help me accomplish my goal of clear face by senior year please help me. Thank you,
Also, i would like to stay with wat i have said i dont really want to buy anything. i have tried pretty much everything.

Hi Brat

You're doing a lot of good things mentioned Brat, but the most important one is a colon cleanse. You must remove the toxins out of the body or they sit in the colon and get in the blood and that is the main issue with acne (and most diseases). Here are some other tips for acne.

1. Blood Purifying: If we are just beginning a cleansing and healing program, we experience problems. Very common is acne, which is most often a manifestation of an unclean bloodstream. Red clover tea is an excellent blood-cleanser, with a very mild taste. Burdock root tea works fast and well to cleanse the bloodstream. Carrot juice, very pleasant to the taste, cleanses and builds good cell structure. Many families drink green drink, consisting of fresh greens, such as comfrey, parsley, mint, lambs quarters, marshmallow (that is, common mallow), your dandelion and other local greens, blended into a base of pineapple juice in a blender. At first you may wish to strain out the pulp, but it is good for you too, and soon you should become accustomed to it. Some people make a green drink by simply blending the wildings into water, straining out the pulp and sweetening a bit with pure maple syrup or honey. This green drink supplies vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and healing factors in a fresh, assimilable form.

2. Soap and Astringents: If you want to treat your acne externally, be aware that it's not an external problem. I would recommend very sparing use of soaps, which is contrary to most advice on acne. Soap removes the protective oil from the skin and upsets the acid-alkaline balance. Only use soap if your skin is really dirty; otherwise, wash with water. Instead of using thick makeup, which must be soaped off, let your natural healthy glow illuminate your skin. There are mineral-based blush powders which have no chemicals in them; they can be used as blush and as eyeshadow; just make sure when you purchase them that they really have no chemicals, as some cosmetic companies are mimicking the idea but including additives.

Some people recommend astringents to control large pores on oily skin. First of all, your skin won't produce excess oil if you follow the mucusless diet. Although you will be taking adequate oils in your diet, they are in a form assimilable by the body. Probably the worst "junk food" anyone can take is hydrogenated oil--margarine, hydrogenated peanut butter, shortening. These oils have undergone a chemical change which makes their structures unusable by the body. They clog up the digestive tract and bloodstream and cause many problems, including that oily skin that troubles you! Eliminate them from your diet, replacing them with natural oils (olive, safflower, almond, sesame--there are many choices). You'll see a real difference in just about a week.

As for the large pores, astringents only help for a little while, as they fill the pores with moisture, seeming to close them. But after a short time, the pores return to their normal size. A good diet, plenty of steam-distilled water, exercise, and the consistent use of the blood cleansing herbs mentioned above, will help tighten those pores. In the meantime (and perhaps just for fun) you can make some astringent lotions to apply to your face. Rub some strawberries on your skin and splash them away with water! Squeeze the juice from a cucumber and do the same. Tomatoes, raspberries, and zucchini all gently tone the skin. You can make a "green drink" for the complexion, blending comfrey, fennel, geranium, lavender, marigold, nettles, peppermint, sage or yarrow (any one or combination of these) with pineapple juice to make a thick, thick mush. Put them on the face, containing them with a piece of gauze if necessary, and lie down for a half-hour or so. Rinse off and notice a glowing skin.

Good old-fashioned witch hazel (the distilled herb preserved with some alcohol), which you can still purchase at most pharmacies, is known for its skin-toning abilities. You can combine it with fresh or bottled (unsweetened) apple juice, adding a little rubbing alcohol to preserve. This fresh-smelling astringent is cheap enough for everyday use, but nice enough to bottle in a small container and give as a gift.

3. Aloe Vera: This penetrates the skin quickly and deeply. This allows water and other moisturizers to sink deeply into the skin, restoring lost fluids and replacing the fatty layer. It permits the uronic acids, which strip toxic materials of their harmful effects, to penetrate deeply and allows the cleansing astringent qualities of the gel to work better. By increasing the circulation of the blood to an area, Aloe Vera sloughs off dead cells and fosters the growth of new ones. This helps foster the regeneration of scarred or blemished skin tissue and provides a protective coating on the skin to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria. This antiseptic action also stops skin infections (acne) in oil-clogged pores. It heals blemishes with little or no scarring. This accounts for the multitude of cosmetic preparations these days contain Aloe Vera.

4. Bowel and Blood Purifiers: Dr. Christopher emphasized that we need to know the source of our problems. Perhaps our toxic condition begins with a poorly functioning bowel which should be taken care of with the Lower Bowel Formula. But suppose a person has a case of boils or acne. Do a colon cleanse!

5. Watercress: This like other plants which have a pungent taste, is celebrated as a blood purifier and has been used in the springtime to eliminate the toxins accumulated in the winter. It increases the appetite, frees up the bowels and causes a freer flow of urine. It is strongly alkaline and therefore treats acidity of the blood and relieves symptoms related to overacidity. It is said to help clear up acne as it cleanses the blood and relieves arthritis and rheumatism.

6. Blood Purifiers: There are various combinations recommended for blood purifiers. You can make the simple infusion, allowing to steep for thirty minutes, or you can combine with equal parts of red clover tops, Brigham tea, burdock and figwort, making 2 quarts of tea and reducing it down to one quart. Combine yellow dock burdock, sarsaparilla and echinacea for an excellent blood cleanser, particularly good in treating post-adolescent skin acne or eruptions related to the menstrual cycle. It will help clear up eruptions on oily skin of the neck and back.

7. Fruits and Vegetables for Acne: Carrot & spinach, celery & watercress, grapefruit juices are all useful to combat acne.

8. Unwholesome Foods: Acne, a prevalent problem among teen-aged boys would not be possible in our society if our foods were wholesome. A most sad and disgusting sight is the pus-filled pimples due to inner toxicity --- wastes trying desperately to escape through the face. This condition often turns a gentle face in the blossom of youth into a waste dump of pimples, pus and subsequent pock marks which can be prevented. The tons of acne medications and prescriptions sold annually act only on the effect of the harmful food, and not the cause of the disease, malnutrition. The traditional teenage meal, a grease burger, french fries and a milk shake or cola simply does not provide enough nourishment for anyone, let alone a boy going through puberty to adulthood. Our highly processed foods are devoid of hormones found in fresh fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts and seeds. Blessed thistle tea given to the unfortunate souls three times a day along with a change in diet to the wholesome, mucusless foods will supply necessary hormones for growth and maturity.

9. Cabbage: Apply a lotion of freshly prepared cabbage juice preceded, if desired, by the application of leaves. The eating of cabbage leaves or juice is also helpful.

10. Lemon Juice: Skin problems such as acne... will often respond to a treatment of lemon juice. For blackheads rub lemon juice over them each night.

11. Black Walnut: Externally, Black Walnut is nearly a miracle worker in cases of ...acne, dandruff, boils, itch, shingles, ringworm--we could go on, but you can see that you can use Black Walnut whenever a skin disorder appears! The tincture is an excellent first-aid remedy for wounds.

Best of health to you

I need help with my acne!? Alright, I have had it with acne and all of those no-good products that are so-called "wonderful" and "get rid of acne in as little as three days." I have tried Clean & Clear, Clearasil, Clearasil Ultra, Neutrogena and many others such as Oxy Pads. None of them have worked...Well, some of them do okay but do not get my acne permanently gone. I have gone to the dermatologist and they have given me a few things but they don't work either. I am following the instructions. I have no clue what is up with my face, so could someone PLEASE tell me how they have successfully gotten rid of their acne? This has been mentally and physically stressful for me and has lowered my self-confidence to where I have become very depressed....Thank you so much for reading, and please, please, please comment back! =]

[Tyler]

Admin 23.05.2007. 23:31

I also tried the products you listed such as Clean and Clear and Clearasil and I had no luck either, I also understand about the mental and physical stress you feel, I was in the exact same situation and I know how its no fun at all.
Okay, this is what worked for me. And this is what my doctor recommended.
First of all its very important that you cleanse, tone and moisturise twice a day everyday. Try using the Cetaphil cleanser, followed by Vichy toner and Vichy moisturiser - you can find these at your local pharmacy/CVS with no perscription needed. Also, for individual pimples you can get your doctor to prescribe a topical gel like Clindamycin phosphate which you put on after you moisturise and helps heal and eliminate them quickly.
After doing this routine I noticed results within 2 weeks, there is next to nothing that will give you an instant lasting fix, but I really recommend the process that I use, as I noticed that after using it for a while, my skin was clearer and I had a more even skin tone (no red blotches) all in all I feel more self confident now knowing that my skin is better and so I don't stress as much when I go out :)

BEST FACIAL masks? What are some NATURAL facial masks that can remove acne scars & dark spots. Does lemon juice work on evening out skin tone? How well does the honey mask work?

Honey is considered a natural anti-bacterial.

Here are not only natural masks, but natural recipes for basic skin care preparations that every one needs for their skin.

Repairing *really* damaged hair? I've been incredibly stressed out lately, and my hair has just decided it would be fun to fall out. Eurgh. Is there a simple remedy for this? Any possible way I can thicken it... or something? It's driving me crazy.
Thank you for all this advice! I'll just add I don't straighten my hair, blow dry it or use products. I just wash it and tie it up for school.

Find the 'cause' before you can find the solution, then eliminate them. Your hair will improve. Remember, whatever it was that caused them to fall out in the first place, it took years to get in your system, it will takes years to flush them down, so don't expect miracles overnight.

So many reasons why you have hair loss:

Supplements, steroids, hereditary, hair dyes perming, straightening, diet, having babies (yes I read once it happened to her), stress, medications with testosterone, certain antidepressants, menopause, anti-acne, and too much of everything. Add to that the 7,000 + toxic found in your home, plus pollution found outdoors. Your hair is crying for help!
When your teeth falls or get cavities, do you blame the toothpaste?

When your hair is crying for help, that's when it's too late to do anything about it, and hair products can not reverse the problem.

They also say you normally lose 100-200 hair a day, but I don't. I lose about 7-8 every time I brush it, so that's about 100 per week, give or take.

The majority of hair problems here are from girls in their 30s, asking how to care for their damaged hair, what product to make their hair grow, why their hair falls out, and why their shampoo or conditioner don't work. Women between 60-80 have that same problem, but it took them years to get there. And those same 30 & under girls are giving advice here? Now, I'm answering more problems re: hair fall or hair not growing. Go figure!

Even the cheapest shampoo can do magic for your hair, so it must be what you're doing AFTER you wash it. Shampoos and vitamins might make your hair look and feel healthier, but they won?t put more hairs on your head.

According Dr. Melissa Piliang, a dermatologist at the Cleveland Clinic. Americans spent an estimated $176 million on hair loss products last year, and chances are some of that money was not well spent. Don?t let charming salon owners, seductive ads or fancy gimmicks convince you otherwise.

I know hair. I am in my early 60's, and I've been having menopause, and I am not experimenting hair loss, for those who said I don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to hair. I have silky, shiny, soft, smooth very healthy long hair. Previously damaged by perming & dyeing. What you see on my profile is what I have now. It's as thick as when I'm in my teens.
Stress, seldom. I went through stress when both parents died, plus sister taking me to court & selling the house, on my own and still no hair loss here!

Hi THere

Here are some tips and especially #4. You must clean out the toxins in the body and a colon cleanse is the answer.

It is said to help clear up acne as it cleanses the blood..

Best of health to you

What do girls/women think of acne scarring? Hey everyone, this is mainly a question for the girls but guys can answer if they have had experiences with this.

When I was younger I had really bad acne and had a little bit on my face but a lot on by back and shoulders, I remember the people I was around used to refer to this as "Bacne" and used to make fun of people who had it. Now that I'm pretty mature I don't have acne anymore but I have some scarring on my back and shoulders which look like small red bumps on my back, almost like a large mole.

They have treatment to smooth it out but the redness would still be there, so I think I could cover it up with tattoos' I like but that be expensive

My question is, although I don't have many, is this a turn off for a lot of girls or do you really mind it at all?

Guys, if you have it how do you deal with it?

There are many girls out there that think I am attractive but I feel theyd almost be repulsed. However, I don't know if Im making it a bigger deal than it really is.

Well a good way to treat acne scarring is to use products that contain hydroquonine. Dr. Murad makes an excellent spot remover, though there are other more inexpensive products that contain this same chemical and probably work just as well. If used diligently it will incredibly reduce the appears of the acne scars and /or completely eliminate them. Also, check with a dermatologist. Did you know that many acne treatments are usually covered by medical insurance? It is considered a "medical" condition, not a cosmetic one. This includes peel treatments performed by a professional doctor that can be used on your face or back (completely appropriate for guy or girl) and will also eliminate the look of scarring.

These are all some solutions to drastically remedy the scarring and redness. But I think it is important that you remain confident in yourself regardless. You shouldn't worry about what girls might say as a result. If someone really cares about you that is not going to be a deal breaker. And if it is for them, then they're probably not worth being with in the first place.

Do you think she likes me too and should I go for it? I'm 19 and there?s a girl at work who I like a lot, we've only really known each other since about November even though we've worked there 2/3 years. She is really hot in my opinion but she also has a great and fun personality and I'm pretty decent looking, probably better looking than I think but when I first started work with her I thought I was quite far away from her 'league' but I'm in decent shape and although I have braces I don?t have any acne/spots etc.

Anyway the feelings kind of escalated for me on Boxing Day when she asked me if I was going out to some club and when I said yes, she smiled and said see you there, when I got there she spotted me out and grabbed me by the arm and kissed me on the cheek and we talked for a couple minutes before she had to go since she had to wake up early the next day.

When I talk to her she smiles and seems actually happy to talk to me (at work you can obviously tell whether it?s ?small talk? or a conversation) because it seems like we aren?t colleagues, we seem to enjoy ourselves in the same manner and are outgoing.

About three/four weeks ago I asked for her number after talking to her for 25 minutes and asked 'do you want to hangout sometime?' and she said 'And do What?. I said ?Whatever? which was stupid but I was pretty nervous (luckily I didn?t show it, kept cool) and she said ?Yeah Alright? (thankfully) and gave me it, her phone was stolen at the time (which I know is legit, I?d be second guessing myself too if I didn?t know that for a fact) but now she has the number on her new phone as I tried it with a private number (so she couldn?t ring back) although I didn?t talk to her but she answered.

I didn?t talk to her for three weeks after getting the number due to being sick and not seeing her at work that much but luckily there?s still the signs there such as her waving and smiling at me when we see each other even if she?s on the phone, I know she wouldn?t wave at every colleague she walks past. We don?t talk about work when we see each other but I don?t want to dive into every topic because then I?d know too much about her before the first date. I don?t have my license yet and won?t get it for probably 2 months unfortunately.

My best ?girl? friend said to call her to eliminate the awkwardness (for me the awkwardness isn?t doing it face to face but with the only time seeing her face to face at work, I?m a bit intimidated by the surroundings to be honest) and ask her out, but where can I ask her out to? . Do I have a chance here? Also she does not have my number yet because I haven't called or texted her, would it seem random or would it be a pleasant surprise? I'm thinking go to the beach or something? Or the movies, I'm not sure.
