When fighting blemishes it is essential that you use the right cleansers for your skin. Regardless of whether you have teenage acne or adult acne a gentle cleanse should always be a necessary part of your daily routine.

Every individual has different skin needs. But what doesn't differ is that everyone's skin needs to be cleaned to remove excess dirt brought about by the outside environment. Gentle cleansing is the first place to start.

Use a water-soluble cleanser:

Water-soluble cleansers are great because they gently cleanse your skin without stimulating the oil glands. A gentle cleanse does not cause redness or dryness. It also makes the skin feel soft and releases oil and dirt gently without damaging the skin.

Once you leave those dry, irritating pore-clogging bar cleansers and soaps behind, you will notice a distinct difference in the way your skin looks and feels. But you must remember to ONLY stick to water-soluble cleansers which are free of exfoliating agents, oil absorbing ingredients and topical disinfectants. These harsh ingredients do very little for the skin because these active ingredients are quickly washed away - not providing any benefit on the skin at all. These ingredients are best used in the other stages of the cleansing process - like moisturizers, exfoliators or for disinfecting the skin.

But it is important to not only cater to the outside of your body but also you must cater to your body from the inside-out. Make sure you are eating anti-oxidant rich, non-inflammatory foods like hazelnuts, salmon, celery, cucumbers, apples, yogurt and pomegranates.

Many people do not realize this, but there are many natural foods that can actually lead to skin inflammation. We are always told to eat fruits and vegetables because they're better for us than processed foods. However, some of these fruits and vegetables can actually be detrimental to our skin.

Did you know that inflammation actually plays a role in the development of swelling and disease? It also plays a role in acne and aging.

In youthful-disease free skin, when looking at the skin under a microscope, no inflammation is visible. However it is present in older skin. This is also the same for acne-prone skin.

Basically, the foods we eat are just as important as the foods we should avoid - like flour, bread, bananas, cream cheese, granola and honey. You thought these were good you're your skin? Nope, think again! These foods are inflammation inducing foods which can actually leave our skin looking tired, puffy and prone to break-outs.

The list goes on (with natural foods that are bad for the skin), but if you want to learn more visit There you will find all natural tips, information and treatments for acne. These are the secrets the pharmaceutical and drug companies won't tell you about.

Take care of your skin it is well worth it.

How to get rid of acne scars? So my battle with acne is coming to an end after around two years of it. So I have a bunch of scars and some pimples that are going away. So how can I get rid of scars, any good products, remedies?

Admin 09.05.2013. 02:49

This safe, natural, minimal cost cure will quickly rid face of all acne scars. See happy testimonial from Jasmin (on Answers) below ##
Firm and vigorous massage using pure natural oils works wonders ? extra virgin olive, EV coconut are good. They are noncomedogenic, do not clog or enlarge pores, cause breakouts.
So as not to pull/stretch skin, first tighten by opening mouth 3/4" and pull lips firmly back against teeth. Do a forward and back massage ? not circular ? using tips and front of fingers and sometimes palms ? depending where on face you apply. For quickest results do it firmly and very vigorously for 15 to 20 min daily (Doesn?t have to be all in one session). Scars will noticeably diminish in 4 or 5 days and will then diminish at a faster rate for the following days. Skin will also clear of all blemishes and all spots and pores will reduce at the same time.
Oils are perfect and safe, natural moisturizers. Do not remove. Only lightly wipe away surface excess with water dampened tissues. Will not leave face oily looking.

## Jasmin asked how to get rid of facial acne scars and black marks. "My advice? LISTEN TO MUKUNDA M!!! He knows what he?s talking about. I directly emailed him because he?s gotten so many Best Answers for skincare topics. I?ve been doing the oil treatment for a little more than 3 weeks and I can?t tell you how absolutely fantastic the results are. Seriously. You will not be disappointed"

Hi, Melissa
Vitamin E certainly can help to get rid of the cellulite and stretch marks.

Vitamin E is a powerhouse vitamin when it comes to beauty. Pure Vitamin E used directly on the skin has a number of benefits for the skin. It softens skin without leaving a greasy residue. It is often used to treat itchy skin rashes and conditions like Eczema. Doctors often recommend using pure Vitamin E to help reduce the appearance of scars and other blemishes on the skin. Vitamin E has also been used successfully to treat stretch marks. If you have some stretch marks from weight loss or pregnancy that you really want to get rid of skip the cocoa butter and go straight for the Vitamin E. Lotions and creams containing Vitamin E can cost $75 or more, so get some pure Vitamin E capsules from the drugstore or health food store, open a capsule and apply that directly to your skin.

I have acne that is more of a blemish issue than actual pimples. What product can I use? I want to lessen the aprearance and occurance of the blemishes. I can even see them through my foundation. I pick at my skin and am trying to stop. I've tried every facial clenser I can think of. And the stronger ones geared to teens for oily super acne prone skin seem like they dry me out too much.
Btw I'm 22
Any foundation recomendations????

I too struggle with your problem. I am 24 and it's an uphill battle each day. I recently purchased many skincare products from Mario Bedescu in New York City. Many celecbrities use these products and they are known for clearing acne and have had much success. I hope they work for me, I will get them in a few days. Check out their website at
Good Luck!

Acne requires a multi-faceted approach. If you have acne clean your skin gently, ry not to touch your skin when your hands are not clean, and avoid the sun.

The three basics of acne treatment are to (1) unclog pores, (2) kill bacteria, and (3) minimize oil. Use mild exfoliating cleansers to unclog your pores. Use benzoyl peroxide to kill the bacteria. Get rid of oil on the surface of your skin by using a gentle toner. Generally drug store brands will do each of these things well. You don't need to spend a fortune.

These are all good basic skin regimens that may help with the acne battle:

Cleanse twice daily with a 5% benzoyl peroxide wash. An alternative for those who are allergic to benzoyl peroxide is 2% salicylic acid.

Apply a gel or cream containing 5% benzoyl peroxide; an alternative is sulfur or resorcinol.

At night, apply a spot cream containing sulfur to the affected areas.

Use a light skin moisturizer and oil-free makeup.

If you try all these approaches and it still does not seem to work, it is time to consult your doctor. You may need a prescription medication approach to deal with your acne.

And read the information at these sites. You may find other ideas that will help you.

Apply orange peel paste on and around the pimples.
Apply garlic on and around the pimples to remove it without a mark.
Zinc, Vitamin A, Vitamin B and Vitamin E are the best nutrients to cure the acne. So take a balanced diet full of nutrients and vitamins.
Mix lime juice and rose water in equal proportion. Apply it on affected areas and allow it to dry for 10 minutes.

Even after the treatment, acne leaves scars. Excellent home remedies to remove acne scars are listed here. Follow these tips to get rid of the acne scars.

Rub ice cubes on face for 10 minutes to tighten the pores.
Cucumber juice can also be used to tighten the pores. Apply it and allow it to dry for 10 minute

Right now I'm battling both pimples and blackheads and I really don't want to have to pay to have my pictures touched up.

Admin 06.10.2008. 23:12

I cant answer your question exactly but I have found this site that is loaded with information. Congrats on the wedding. The site is and there is a link called beauty. Good luck

How long does it take ketoconazole shampoo to kill a skin fungus to the point it is no longer visible on skin? Applying shampoo twice a week, as prescribed, how long will it take for the rash-like fungus to completely disappear? I have been using this treatment for about six weeks, and some improvement has occurred. But the blemishing that the fungus has caused seems, to some degree, to be virtually permanent. Is total defeat of the fungus an actual possibility? If so, will it take months or even years to win this battle?

Admin 28.10.2009. 21:45

The fungus should be dead by now but the spots won't disappear until your skin is exposed to a reasonable amount of sun to re pigment the spots

What are my chances of winning custody? My husband just recently told me he wants a divorce and to share custody of the children 50/50. I can't stomach the thought of being without my kids every other week.
My husband was arrested in 2002 (prior to our dating) for hitting his girlfriend. Charges were filed but the case was dismissed.
While he never hit me, although he is verbally abusive, does this blemish on his record give me a better chance of winning custody?

Admin 03.12.2008. 19:23

Yes, any information that builds a character profile of your husband in the negative does work to your advantage, however make sure the things you bring up are things that won't damage your children. They will have mixed emotions about all this, and the way you fight your battles is closely watched by the young. If you are worried about their safety with him, then no holds barred - Do what you have to do, but if he is a kind and gentle good intentioned Dad, you may have to find a counsellor to help you get past the seperation anxiety you are worried about.
