Become A Life Coach

Are you good with people? Do you seem to have natural instinct? Are you the kind of person your friends turn to for advice?

If the answer to these questions are 'yes', then you are already, at least in part, doing the job of a life coach. You see life coaches are not some weird and wonderful beast that has gone through years and years of intense training and have lots of letters after their name and certificates on their wall. No. That will probably be the counsellor, or the psychotherapist.

Life coaches need none of these things. They do not exist to fix things that are wrong like a psychotherapist or counsellor might. They simply have natural 'people' skills that enable them to get the best out of others. And, that is essentially what being a life coach is.

It is not counselling and not therapy. For that you need the people with the certificates and letters after their names. To be a life coach you just need to be able to ask the right questions to get others thinking in a slightly different way. It might be a slightly more positive way. It might be a slightly more motivated way. It might be a slightly more focused way.

That is the job of a life coach and nothing more. And yet what a thing to be able to do! To be able to make others think more positively, be more motivated and live in a more focused way. Think what the world would be like with more positivity, more motivation and more focus. That is why coaches offer such an important service.

So if you have the natural skills to be a life coach, how might you go about learning the ropes? If you feel you would probably make a good coach, then you probably will. And there are people who need you. Need you to help them be more positive, motivated and focused.

To be honest becoming a life coach is no mystery. If you talk to others and help them then you are coaching. Training to be a life coach is really about learning extra skills and techniques that can complement your already good natural abilities.

So, although there are long expensive courses, you don't necessarily need them. There are shorter courses and guides which may suit you just as well. You might decide to purchase a short course or a guide at a lower cost as a taster and then perhaps go for the more expensive courses if you think you need them.
