Getting your new website and pages into the search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL, and others as soon as possible is critical. Since you cannot afford to "pay per click" to bring traffic to a site that relies on a percentage of the clicks it generates for revenue - it is essential that you bring free traffic from the search engines.
Speed to Market To the Search Engines is EssentialWhile purchasing links, and writing articles are good strategies, none of them compare to the power of blog and ping when it comes to fast spidering. Heres how it works:
1. Create a blog - Blogger.com has been a good tool for this. It is free and for manual submission, it still works very well.
2. Download the free Google Toolbar
http://toolbar.google.com/googlebar.html and install it in your browser. (Its a nifty tool and the "autofill" is a great little helper too. Go into the setup function of the toolbar and check the box to make the big orange B (for blogger) appear on your toolbar.
3. Go to the new website you have created and highlight some relevant text and then click the B - orange blogger button on the toolbar. This will bring up the Blogger box and the text will already be in there. Just hit the "publish" button and BOOM - you have "blogged-it" to your blog.
4. Go to
http://www.pingomatic and enter the name of your blog - ie: http://myblog.blogspot.com and submit it. This will syndicate the content of your blog to the info feeds around the globe - and draw the attention of the search engine spiders, including Yahoo.
Since Google owns Blogger -they spider it looking for URLs they dont have just as Yahoo does its newsfeeds. This gets you going with the two biggest engines on the earth.
Be patient, it can take a few days, depending upon where the search engines are in the process of crawling and indexing. First youll see the spider come to your site when it appears as a visitor in your stats.
