How to choose a Limo

12 Things to look for when looking for a Limo

1. What kind of vehicle is it (limo, towncar, etc.) You would be suprised how often you will order a limo, and a towncar shows up. Be precise on what you are looking for.

2. How many people does it hold (keep in mind a brides dress may require one less person in the vehicle). This should be a common question, but be sure you know your vehicles limitations. If the limo shows up and you have too many friends with you, some may be walking.

3. How old is the vehicle? Lets face it, there are a lot of old cars out there. Lets make sure the limo company is not trying to pass an old car off on you.

4. What color is the vehicle? This could be an important one or not for you. However, depending on the event, you want to make sure it is a professional color. Most limos are black or white, but there are a variety of colors out there. Unless specified, I doubt you want a yellow limo showing up on your wedding day.

5. May I have a copy of your Insurance Certificate of Coverage? Good thing to have one file. You want to know this company is responsible, and that you will be covered in case of an accident.

6. Does the chauffeur have a "chauffeurs license"? Driving a limo isnt like driving a normal car. The drivers must be certified to drive these larger vehicles.

7. Does your price include gratuity for the driver? This one can be embarrassing to ask, but its better to know then not to tip the driver at all, or over tip him.

8. What will the chauffeur wear? Make sure the guy isnt going to show up in blue jeans and a t-shirt.

9. What is your cancellation policy? What if your event gets canceled, or postponed? Find out what their cancelation policy is.

10. Will the chauffeur be reachable by cell phone? When the chauffeur drops you off, they somtimes will go elswhere to wait. Make sure you have a way to get in touch with him, so when you are ready to be picked up your limousine is there ready for you.

11. Can I extend the service if I need it longer on that day? Events often can run longer then expected. Make sure you have allocated time after your even in case you need the limo for a longer period

12. Are you a member of the National Limousine Association? This shows that the company is dedicated to providing limousine, and isnt new to the business.
