UK Closed Student Visa National Consultation



The public consultation on the UK student visa system closed and responses are being considered carefully before final decision, according to UK Immigration Minister Damian Green in his speech to the think tank Reform last week.

The consultation lasted 8 weeks. The Home Office received about 30,000 responses from organisations and individuals, and it will review those responses before finalising its proposals on immigration reform.

Minister Green stated that there will be stricter control of non-EU migrants under Tier 4 Student Visa to get rid of abuses from the system. This move is believed to be for the best interest of legitimate students those who have important contribution to UK economy and cultural life.
