Offers the tastiest collection of seasonings, sauces, marinades and rubs that chef Jim Gibbons and his merry band of enthusiastic foodies use in their own simple, flavorful recipes. This community of trained chefs, experienced grillers and smokers, enthusiastic foodies and a couple camp cooks for big game outfitters all pitch in and would like vistors to as well.
SPICES, SAUCES & MORE! is looking to expand both their inventory and add tips and recipes to the site. Visitors are encouraged to send in ideas for products they use and the recipes they use those products in. Also any suggestions related to grilling, cooking smoking, etc. are welcomed. If you have an idea for skinning or boning, cleaning fish or seafood, prepping vegetables, it's all fair game. Safe food transport for camping or tailgating? Please tell them how you do it. They want your input
Hot sauces, aioli's, marinades, spice blends, rubs, seasonings, gifts; they're all things SPICES, SAUCES & MORE! are continually testing and looking for at festivals, regional stores , restaurants, mom and pop shops, neighbor's kitchens and anywhere else you might think of. Jim has combined his classical training and restaurant experience with his love of hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He recognizes our need to support local farmers and ranchers and use sustainable food products whenever possible. Those values are shared by everyone involed with SPICES, SAUCES & MORE!
The contributing members of this community are an ecclectic bunch. There's a Marine Corp mess officer with combat experience in Vietnam. A mother of seven with lots of experience cooking for large groups. A professional Rockabilly musician who likes breakfast at 5:00 pm and dinner at 3:30 am. An elk and deer hunting guide often cooks for groups of five to ten at 7,00-10,000 feet in elevation. SPICES, SAUCES & MORE! boasts it's own fly fishing guide accustomed to pan frying trout less than an hour old over an open fire. There's the R.N. who has seen it all from the E.R. to the O.R. but is never fazed by a kitchen emergency. The Air Force is represented as well by an retired pilot. When he fires up his smoker, mouths water for miles around. He markets his own beef and elk jerky and when this gang gets together he'll throw on a whole suckling pig for friends, family and neighbors and the band will start cranking out the tunes.
