Returning Soldiers

The War on Terror coming to an end, it is time for our soldiers to return to their home according to the Iraq De-Escalation Act. Some of these returning soldiers would also be wounded and in need of a lot of support and understanding. Indeed so many of our soldiers have been fighting this battle at Iraq for so many days and so many have lost their lives that it saddens our heart thinking of their predicament.

The worst part is that there are many soldiers who do not even have a home to return to or a loving family who would greet them with their open arms. Even those who have a family and a home to return to are also afraid thinking about their injuries and the chances of finding any alternative employment when they get well. Apart from these there are many other complications that a soldier may have to face when they enter into a civil life.

Being sympathetic to the cause of the war veterans David H Brooks has founded a non-profit organization after his own name which welcomes and embraces the soldiers returning from battlefield. This organization lends an unflinching support towards these heroic people and makes them feel wanted. Indeed this is something which is the most important gift to a returning soldier; and that is to show them that they are welcomed, wanted and respected in our civil society. David H Brooks foundation sees to it that the soldiers who come to them are able to settle down comfortably and respectably in a civil life.

They provide all sorts of assistance and cooperation in the form of medical care, physiotherapy, home-assistance and even counselling services. They help the families also to understand the predicament of their loved ones to settle in a civil life and advise them on how they can be of help instead of becoming a hindrance unknowingly. Indeed this foundation is doing a highly commendable job under the able guidance and leadership of David H Brooks its founder. David Brooks had been associated with providing bullet proof vests to army and this long and close association with army have helped him understand the struggles and hardships in the life of an army man with a sympathetic and understanding attitude.
