The name Tiffany is synonymous with stained glass lampshades. Luis Comfort Tiffany was born in 1848 the son of Charles Lewis Tiffany the founder of Tiffany & Co, the highly successful retailer of silver and jewellery. And although Charles wanted his son to succeed him in the business Louis preferred to train and work as an artist.
