People from abroad who wishes to enter United States, must obtain a visa. A visa does not guarantee a person to enter the United States. But it determines the eligibility of the individual to seek entry in to the United States. The entry of the individual into United States will be decided by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) , Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
There are two types of visas that is classified into Immigrant Visa and Non- immigrant visa. Immigrant visas are used by people who wish to travel to live permanently in US. Non- immigrant visas are issued to people who wish to travel to United States on a temporary basis for business or pleasure.
