This guide considers the simple scenario: You want to clear the movie from commercials, or you want to edit out any offensive part from a video.
This guide explains how to do that with MPEG Video Wizard in a few simple steps without video/audio quality degradation and in a couple of minutes.
To begin with, you need to download the latest version 'MPEG Video Wizard' from
http://www.womble.com/download/. Install and run it.
(The latest version is 4.0.4.113, March 2009 Update.)
Step 1. Open the MPEG file in the Input Monitor.
Click the 'Open Video...'in the Input Monitor to select your desired media file.
Step 2. Set the play speed to I-only.
For fast preview and selection, set the play speed to I-only by pressing the speed button twice.
Step 3. Press the Space bar to start the fast play (or the 'A' and 'D' keys).
Step 4. Press the Space bar to stop the play when finding the commercial beginning, and click 'Mark in' button to mark the beginning.
For exact selection, you can reset the play speed to 'Normal speed' ('N') by pressing the speed button.
Step 5. Press the Space bar to continue the play.
Step 6. Press the Space bar to stop the play when finding the commercial end, and click 'Mark out' button to mark the end.
Step 7. Do a cut
Press the Trim cut button (or the 'X' key) to remove the selected segment between 'Mark in' and 'Mark out'.
Then you can repeat the steps above for all the commercials of a show.
Step 8. Press the 'G' key to add the remaining segments to the Timeline, and preview the video in the Output window.
Step 9. Click the red button in the Timeline to export this video.
This will bring up a dialog window and you will be prompted for a file name. Select the "Automatic" template and click 'Save'. The export process will start automatically.
Step 10. That's all.
