Considering Buying A Balboa Baby Sling? Read This First!

Have you ever ran into a problem where you have too many things to do but your little one is always in your arms? You wish that you could hold them and get what you need to get done? There is a product called the Balboa Baby Sling that I am here to talk to you about. It was developed, tested and recommended by Dr. Spears, who also happens to be a pediatrist. You may wonder if this product really works, and I am here to give you my best judgment.

What the Balboa Sling is designed to do is to allow you to have your baby close to you but not completely immobilize you and at the same time help you get your various tasks accomplished. It does this by how it is implied, it is a sling that wraps around the front of your body, and your baby is place gently inside, kind of like a nice snug ca-coon. That way you have both of your hands free and you can do the work that you need to get done without having to worry about your young one being in a different room, or having the dog come up and sniffing them. They have a ton of different sizes and there is an adjustable strap so that you don't have to worry about what size to get.

But does it work?

This is the important part of course. In my experience with the sling I have loved it! Although there are other consumers that would disagree, and say that it is uncomfortable. It is on personal preference on how it feels to you. As for it's performance it is great! It allows me to get what I have to do without having to wait an hour before my baby falls asleep, he is just always with me which make me feel more comfortable. Yet there are a few things to keep in mind before you purchase this, to be specific a few safety concerns. With baby slings in general there have been 14 deaths identified 3 of which occurred in 2009, and 12 deaths of babies under 4 months. Don't stop reading just yet. The main reason for these deaths is suffocation. The baby can have some of the sling's fabric covering it's mouth or nose preventing it from breathing. Also the way the head is positioned the baby can have their chin pushed toward their chest which can aslo prevent further ventilation. These are some major concerns, but if you are careful there isn't anything to worry about, but it may still make some feel uneasy and for them I would not recommend this product. One thing that is worth mentioning is that Balboa Sling have not had one incident reported! Which is always great to hear!

Overall I think that this sling is worth the money! It helps me get all my errands done, and lets me do it with ease. It doesn't work perfect in every situation but is great for getting most things done around the house and doing errands while you are out and about. If you are concerned about the suffocation incidents and feel that it would be hard to monitor your baby's position or it really makes you feel apprehensive I wouldn't recommend it to you, but if you know that it would be a great help and you can make sure that your baby is safe and positioned correctly, this ust may have been the best baby product invented! Hope that this helped you! Enjoy!
