Better Scoring, as easy as 1,2,3



All practice is in the end, geared towards lowering your scores. In my opinion as a mental game coach, some practice time needs to be focused solely on becoming a better scorer. For example, making a long term swing change will eventually result in you shooting lower scores, and becoming a better player. Even with the improved swing changes though, you will still need to covert an improved golf swing into lower golf scores!

This practice game is an excellent one to improve your ability to score well. The game places an extra focus specifically on those parts of the game that will help you to score better: Areas such as the short game; being able to get up and down to keep the round going; and making birdie putts to build momentum in the round.

This game was introduced to me by a college team mate, who heard about a great game being used to improve scoring. The game is simple, instead of counting the amount of strokes a player takes on a hole, the player is awarded points depending on the following:
