No. 11 Kentucky Wildcats battle SEC rival No. 23 Florida Gators on ESPN

College Basketball betting fans have a key SEC conference matchup on tap Saturday when the No. 11 Kentucky Wildcats travel to Gainesville to face the No. 23 Florida Gators (9 pm ET, ESPN). Kentucky (16-5 SU, 4-3 SEC) is 11-3 SU in its last 14 games. This is an important game for the Wildcats in terms on seeding for the NCAA Tournament , as they trail the SEC East-leading Gators by just 1.5 games, and face Florida twice in their last nine games. Their only other game against a ranked opponent is against the Vanderbilt Commodores. Florida (17-5 SU, 6-2 SEC) not only has an identical 11-3 SU record in its last 14 games, it is in the same situation as Kentucky for the remainder of its schedule. The Gators only games against ranked teams the rest of the way are the rematch with Kentucky on Feb. 26 and their season final against Vanderbilt on March 5. Interestingly, neither the Wildcats nor the Gators have been very kind to points spread bettors, with Kentucky cashing at a break-even rate of 8-8 ATS and Florida losing bettors money at 6-10 ATS.

The Wildcats lost to the Mississippi Rebels 71-69 in their last game on Monday, failing to cash as a 6.5-point road favorite. The Florida Gators had dropped two straight SEC games before beating the Commodores 65-61 on Monday, falling just short of cashing as a 4.5-point home favorite. The Gators have struggled offensively, especially from three-point land, hitting at just 33 per cent. The Wildcats have been much better with three-pointers at just under 40 per cent.
