Days of Our Lives in Christ

Recollections about faith are positive and some are negative concerning an individual's Christianity. There are varied viewpoints, emotions, uncertainties, and ideas that any Christian has associated with the very utterance of the word. Images come into view.

Most regular men and women have been taught Christian concepts through their upbringing and life experiences. Christian churches and faith flourish throughout our cities. Seminaries and learned people have written extensive subjects about the Bible, its teachings, and stories. We study, pray and learn but our views have been shaped and formed by our past.

It is odd that we are challenged by and, at times, apathetic to our own faith! We become relaxed, bored, or just disinterested. Sometimes religion just seems too complex, confusing, and difficult to incorporate into our daily lives. It is often complicated to remember God, to remain close to Him, to love Him and to thank Him. Why is this so?

Our daily, busy lives are lived with few catastrophic problems. Then, suddenly, when these situations occur, prayer becomes critical to us. It is much simpler to remember Our Lord when times are tough and we feel the need to grow closer to Him. These strenuous times may not appear as God's blessings, but, they are God's cry to us to come back to Him. They make us need Jesus Christ even more!

We are aware that there are numerous sources of information about Christianity, many learned and trained individuals in biblical scriptures and principles, varieties of Christian belief, and doctrines. Churches are everywhere. But for the average person, most people really seem to understand Christianity through their own upbringing and/or experiences.

Why is this so? Our daily, busy lives are lived with few catastrophic problems. Then, suddenly, when these situations occur, prayer becomes crucial to us. It is much simpler to remember Our Lord when times are arduous and we feel the need to grow closer to Him. These strenuous times may not appear as God's blessings, but, they are God's cry to us to come back to Him. They make us need Our Lord even more!

Soon after, the trying events pass and we begin to slacken again in our relationship with God. Another time, we might acquire more wealth and have fewer worries about our well-being. Less worry may consciously mean less prayer required. Again, we struggle to remember our God; this takes more desire, and again, more effort. Another truth that we must remember is that Christians, in many countries, are ill-treated; Christians in America have in no way suffered in such persecution! Most Christians in our country have tribulations that have been actually self-inflicted.

Then, there are people out there that tell us that Christianity isn't real, or much too time-consuming, outdated, or full of scandal and hypocrisy. Opinions abound. But the Lord Jesus Christ teaches us that His burden is light!! Faith and trust in Jesus Christ is the BEST thing that could happen to us - RIGHT NOW! Our lives can be excellent because of Jesus Christ! God is Our Father, He loves us and will take care of ALL our needs; all we have to do is simply desire Him... each and every day.
