Message to the Seven Churches Video Wins Telly Award: Religion and the Bible Takes a New Twist

Vision Media Productions has been awarded a Bronze Telly for work on its latest production, Message to the Seven Church. Earlier this year, the documentary also won an "Award of Excellence" at the 2007 Videographer Awards.

The award-winning Message to the Seven Church by Vision Media Productions looks at another side of the book of Revelation that is often overlooked in religionthe letters written by John to the first century congregations of the Church of God in Asia Minor.

The video takes viewers on location to the picturesque Greek island of Patmos and to Western Turkey. Revelation, often brings up images of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and earth's last great crisis, culminating in what is known as the Battle of Armageddon. It paints a detailed picture of a time of unparalleled destruction and catastrophe coming upon the earth. Its terrifying images have haunted every generation in Western society for almost two thousand years. But Revelation also contains a powerful message of hope in the often overlooked messages in John's writings. What were the early followers of Jesus supposed to understand, for example, from the series of letters that open the book? Could they have any meaning for today?

In this award-winning video, Vision Media Productions examines another side of the book that is often overlooked how these letters to the seven churches lay out the way to peace of mind in an uncertain and fearful age. It points to the source of strength and encouragement to overcome the greatest of all challenges
