How To Feel Better By Raising Your Vibration
One of the key steps to successfully using the Law of Attraction to deliberately receive your reality, is learning how to raise your vibration. But what exactly do we mean by "vibration" and how do we go about raising it?
Everything is energy, vibrating at different wavelengths. Our brains are translators that allow us to perceive some of this energy, some of these frequencies, as physical matter. These physical frequencies are generally easy for us to access; we learn to see, hear, taste, touch and smell at a very early age. But there are many other frequencies which aren't physical, that we nonetheless have access to. Thoughts, for example, are also energy. Positive thoughts vibrate at much higher frequencies than negative thoughts.
The YOU, who you really are if you let go of all negative and limiting beliefs, the part of you who is non-physical, is pure energy, vibrating at a very high frequency. In order to come into the physical, you've had to lower your vibration a bit, which can be a bit uncomfortable at first. This is one of the reasons that babies tend to cry (aside from hunger, thirst, etc.). They're getting used to the lower vibration.
Negative and limiting beliefs that you pick up along the way, lower your vibration further. The lower your vibration goes, the less energy you have, the less creative and joyful you are, and the worse you feel both physically and emotionally. Essentially, the lower your vibration is, the further away you are from who you really are.
Raising your vibration moves you closer to who you really are. But here's the thing: You don't actually have to raise your vibration. All you have to do is stop holding it down. You see, YOU, that pure, positive energy YOU, is still a part of you, the physical you, and is always pulling you upwards. Your natural vibration is at a very high frequency, and because of this constant pulling, if you just stop holding the vibration down with negative and limiting thoughts, it will rise all by itself. All you have to do is get out of the way.
But how? There are several ways to allow your vibration to rise:
Meditate. When you meditate, you stop thinking, including limiting and negative thoughts. This allows your vibration to rise. While your vibration will not be permanently reset to the new higher vibration achieved in the meditative state, it will also not return completely to where it was when you started. Just twenty minutes a day will gradually change your vibrational set point to a higher and higher frequency.
Do something that makes you really happy. Happiness and joy vibrate at a much higher frequency than almost any other emotion. When you're in a state of happiness, you cannot also be in a state of depression, anger or frustration. Find something that makes you happy, even for just a few minutes a day, and do that. Play with a child, take a bath, dance to your favorite song, kiss your significant other like you did when you first started dating, play a video game, etc.
Breathe. Breathing deeply and slowly will raise your vibration. You can do this anywhere and anytime you need a bit of relief.
Take a nap. When you sleep, you naturally return to a high vibrational state. Your body and mind get some relief from all the heavy vibrations you're carrying around. Taking even a short nap, will help you to reset your vibration. You'll generally wake up feeling better than you did when you lay down.
Try to incorporate several of these methods into your day. Start slowly and take it easy with this. If you miss a day of meditation, for example, don't beat up on yourself (this would lower your vibration). Do the best you can, and choose whichever methods make you feel best. How do you know if you're doing it right? You'll feel better. You'll be more relaxed. Things won't bother you as much. And the world will just seem to become a little prettier every day.
