Today's lesson reviews the concept of forgiveness. I'll be discussing 7 awareness exercises to assist you in clearing out the old anger, the pain, and the distraction that lugging around a grudge can do.

In this lesson, and throughout the 30-week class, you'll find diverse new skills for releasing and forgiving.

The initial method is an 'awareness' drill.

1. Give some consideration to what gave you the hurt. Was it a conversation with someone, something you or someone else did to you, something not mentioned, not done, not felt, what? What was the trigger?

2. Next, ask of your inner self WHY it leads to you hurt. Was a trust betrayed? Did you feel rejected on some level? Were your hopes crushed? Think about how that discomfort manifests.

Three. Think about or let your emotions to go in the direction of the person who ‘did‘ this. Exactly from where was it coming? What buttons ended up being pushed on his/her end? Why did it occur?

4. Imagine yourself in that individual's situation. Have you ever previously completed anything like that? Could you perhaps visualize, provided what you understand of their life, at any time doing something comparable? Can you, without condoning their actions, maybe realize it a little? Maybe you have ever before cut someone off on the road? Perhaps you have at any time spoken without considering your words or stated anything that came out not as intended?
