5 Momentum Building Article Writing Strategies

Every article writer has faced the need to increasing their article writing output at one time or another. Often it just feels like no matter how hard you work there is a restraint in the way. With that restraint holding you back nothing seems to help you create more articles. Fortunately there are simple tactics to implement and they can make all the difference when you are unable to quickly generate more article ideas. In this article I present 5 momentum building article writing strategies to use when the next idea just isn't coming quickly.

#1) Select a batch of titles and begin writing

This is a particularly effective strategy for article writers to try when they are at a loss for new topics. Simply jot down a set of working titles and then start writing. If a writer generally writes in batches of 5 articles before taking a break, then create 5 titles. Work through the titles until a first draft of all 5 has been completed. Come back, create the final title, proofread, keyword and edit each article and 5 articles are complete. Repeat the process until you reach your goal for the day.

#2) Keep writing

Practice makes perfect for most article writers. That means you must keep writing even when things seem difficult. Write new articles each and every day. Even if there is only time to create a single article you are still practicing your craft. Soon the challenge you currently face will disappear and you will find you are creating more articles and more article topics more quickly.

#3) Write on a set of related topics

Start at the very beginning on your topic. For example article #1 might be introducing the topic. Article #2 would be the next level of information. For example, it might be how to use the topic in your daily life. And so on you go. Just start at the beginning and write closely related articles so readers will learn your topic step by step.

#4) Generate a long list of topics within your chosen niche

Sit down and brainstorm all of the topics you can think of for your niche. Capture every idea until you have a list of 20 or 25 or maybe even more. Go back and carefully review your list for the best topics you feel fit for your niche. Then it is time to start writing. Soon your original list of 25 will end up as a batch of 15 or 20 completed articles.

#5) Let your readers tell you the topics to choose

Don't let the questions asked by your readers go without creating articles. If readers aren't sending questions, then ask your list about the questions or problems they are facing. Often these will be the most timely and popular article writing topics of all for the article writer.

#6) Start writing everything you know on a specific topic

Write as much as possible on that single topic. Then find the logical breaks in your long article, cut at that point, creating several article pieces. Create several shorter articles that are more appropriate in length. For example rather than 600-700 word article writing break it into three 200 word sets of thoughts. Add a title for each plus introductions and conclusions and you will have three 400 word articles.
