E-books: The David That Slew The Publishing Goalith

In the beginning of time, writing were considered to be a pauper's fate. I use the term "Fate" loosely because it was viewed by many as a suicide mission. After all, most of the good writers were either drug addicts, madmen or pugnacious individuals who participated in a coup that resulted in their untimely death. Crazy right? No more my friend, because the age of the writer has arrived. No longer confined just to our silent opinions and quiet debates. We always had an audience, but now they can carry murder, mystery, sex, and love, like a hand-held video game. The age of E-books is revolutionizing the world of literature and 21 Blackstreet is leading the way.

Publishin companies used to give writer's a 7% to 15% royalty. Basically highway robbery without a gun, right? Harper Collins made history when they recently announced they would go 50-50 on profits with their writers. Folks can you feel that? Stick your arms out and spin to the left and now the right. That is the winds of change and we are the generation that is going to reap the benefits of it. 21 Black street is one of the first companies to offer the E-book but allow a writer to keep 70% of your profit (but they will give you 80% if you contact them now). Deals like this are allowing better writer's to put out better books. The professional guidance is still there but the window of opportunity has been lifted by 21 inches. The door is wide for every voice to be heard, but now importantly every voice will be paid.

Ebook sales accounted for 46.5 million as of the end of September 2009, according to the International Digital Publishing Forum, but these statistics were based entirely on wholesale channels. The beautiful thing is that these statistics could double and that's only within the next 2 years. 21 Black street has a campaign gearing up that is going to be the leader of the pack. The E-book age is going to allow alot of different opinions, thoughts, and feelings to be experienced. The world is going to be taken by storm.
